for everyone
We've just finished the Hana Yori Dango Korean re-make (in original audio).  I've got to say that when I really started to watch the series it didn't appeal to me (As in talaga!).  As the drama progressed, I've come to realize the good points of the series.

POINT 1: Surprisingly, the appealing romance doesn't lie in the MAIN COUPLE (that is Jan Di and Jun Pyo), but with Ji Hoo and Jan Di pairing especially in the later part of the series.  Heck! Even the Yi Jeong and Ga Eul couple has more romantic aura than them.  We (me and my sister) never thought that a day would come when we would want Makino Tsukushi to end up with Hanazawa Rui.  Seriously, no matter how mushy the scene was supposed to be, the Lee Min-ho (Gu Jun Pyo) and Koo Hye Sun (Geum Jan Di) match is not good enough. That's surely a point of interest.

POINT 2: We saw Dao Ming Si and Domyouji Tsukasa spend his money.  This time around Gu Jun Pyo will spend like heap!!!  I don't know much about filming production prices but I definitely can see that they spent tons in this drama. They had 3 cool cars which I think is the 2007 Mitsuoka Orochi Kabuto in different colors and design!!!  It costs like 123,766,000-  158,616,000 Won!!! That's almost 5,000,000 - 6,000,000 in Philippine Peso. IT'S A FASHION SHOW, A TOUR -  PERHAPS THE MOST EXPENSIVE HANA YORI DANGO RE-MAKE EVER.

POINT 3: There is more screentime for the Yi Jeong and Ga Eul couple heehee~  Their story developed nicely and if people won't mind me saying so, perhaps the most appealing role-playing of the the SojirouxYuuki match.

POINT 4: There were numerous F4 childhood flashbacks!  Aside from the kids being cute, the scriptwriter made a very interesting point to add a spice from the past.  That is something not done by the past adaptations.

POINT 5:  Meteor Garden had a Part 2 and so has the Hana Yori Dango J-drama.  This one has none.  The whole series was compressed into 25 episodes - all major arcs included. (ok diba? dirediretso ka na manunuod? wala na antayan ng 2 taon ehe~)

POINT 6: Come come everybody!  We all know that comparison with the past adaptations is inevitable.  That's why several scenes become amusing parodies.  Say for example, the famous "Bus and Oranges" scene in Meteor Garden is reversed.  Gu Jun Pyo was the one to chase the bus wherein Geum Jan Di was in.  Sorry guys, no oranges included.  Another one was the "Necklace Throwing" scene.  In Meteor Garden yet again, Dao Ming threw the necklace wherein the K-drama, Jan Di was the one who threw it.

POINT 7: Gu Jun Pyo has a notable resemblance with Jerry Yan (Dao Ming Si) especially in the later episodes.  It gets even stronger in every episode. My sister even said, "Ate, nagiging kamukha na ni Jun Pyo si Dao Ming."

POINT 8: Woo Bin has less screen time. Now, how does this count as good point?  Simple.  It was unique.  Heck, he was perhaps the only Mimasaka Akira character adaptation with the least screen time!  I almost thought they were only F3 haha!

POINT 9: Father, you're alive!  Gu Jun Pyo's father was alive while in the other adaptations his father was not.

POINT 10: They got me laughing.  Need I say more?

POINT 11: The soundtrack was superb!  Although all adaptations had superb soundtracks as well, I just had to praise the music most of all.  What's a drama without the melody, ne? (*and sings Korean* Ashwiun maeumingeol, ashwiun maeumingeol~~~~)

Well, that's it for my ranting. Just comment if you like.
